Nido dei venti
Cultivating Time. Share what matters most.
In 1986, José Giannotti acquired his first parcel of land at the end of Via dei Venti, driven by the vision of creating a place in harmony with nature. Over time, what began as a simple plot evolved into Il Nido dei Venti, a secluded estate nestled in the heart of Garfagnana, Tuscany's unspoiled mountain region at the foothills of the Apuan Alps.
From its inception, the estate was conceived as a sanctuary dedicated to rest, conviviality, and the simple pleasures of life. Surrounded by forests, meadows, and protected landscapes, it reflects a profound connection to the land and a deep respect for its natural surroundings.
Today, this enduring philosophy lives on through Nido dei Venti, a collection of gourmet creations offered in exclusive, limited quantities. Each product is thoughtfully developed with reverence for its origin, its terroir, and the craftsmanship that shapes its distinctive character.

Il Nido — Creation and Distribution
Il Nido dei Venti was born from a vision: to enhance the richness of a family property through a collection of exceptional products inspired by its land, history, and expertise.
To bring this ambition to life, the House relies on a network of passionate artisans, cooperatives, and producers, rigorously selected for their expertise and commitment. Alongside products from the estate, each partnership is chosen with the same level of demanding standards, respecting local traditions, authenticity of origins, and product quality.
Today, Il Nido is built on essential values: generosity, attention to detail, and the pleasure of sharing. Together, these values give rise to a collection of authentic creations that celebrate Italian culinary heritage and a lifestyle based on quality, transmission, and respect for nature.
It was in 2010 that the maxim "Felice è colui che fa gli altri felici," inspired by the Latin Felix Est Qui Alios Facit Felices, was painted on the facade of the main wing, facing the outdoor granite table. More than just an inscription, it reflects a vision of life based on generosity, sharing, and care for others. This motto has since become the credo of Nido dei Venti.
